Electro Clock Co.
Baltimore, MD
1909-1912

Sidney C. Vincent was the inventor and builder of this non spring weighted arm clock on which he held patents. This movement is different from the more often seen horse shoe shaped movement and is marked, The Electro Clock Co., Baltimore, MD Pat. Oct 13, 08. It operates in a similar manner as the other movement. The Dial is marked with the company name is very detailed. The case is mahogany and very heavy as with a clock of this size. A very large pendulum bob can be seen thru the lower glass and both glasses are beveled. The 1912 catalog shows this clock as Mantle Clock – style “3 M” and priced at $24.00, a considerable amount of money in 1912.

At the bottom is the Wall Clock Style # 1 H in walnut which sold for $22.00 in 1912. The movement is different from the movement in the Mantel clock and is movement patent # 1022987 date 4/9/1912. It is interesting to note that the mantel clock above sold for more than the office clock and are both shown in the same 1912 catalog.
