This is one of those very early electric clocks built by Frederick L. Gregory in 1891 and who is the same as the F.L. Gregory who started the Sempire Clock Company, St. Louis. This movement is US Patent # 511,946 patented Jan 2, 1894 by Fred L. Gregory of Niagara Falls, NY. The same movement will be found in many of the Sempire clocks as pictured below. The Sempire clocks were frequently marked on the dial with ELECHROMETER and was incorporated in St. Louis, Missouri on June 1, 1897 by Ryan H. Rhorer and Frank E. Ryan and was taken over by the Imperial Clock Co. in 1910.
